When Yuki's diary predicts an attack from three of them, Aru moves Yuki to Kousaka's mansion. His plan is to lure the apprentices in and then disable the nearby cell tower, cutting off their connection to the Eighth server. However, once the attack begins, Yuno appears and cuts the power to the tower remotely, wanting to protect Yuki on her own. Aru and Kousaka rush to manually disable the tower while Yuki holds Yuno back. Two of the Eighth apprentices, Marco Ikusaba and Ai Mikami, manage to corner Yuki and Yuno until Aru disables the tower. However, Marco and Ai reveal that they are also "owners" of a true Future Diary, which remains unaffected. With no other option, Yuki releases Yuno, who intimidates the two into retreating. When the third apprentice sets the mansion on fire, however, Marco and Ai counterattack. Their diaries' ability to predict each other's actions overwhelms Yuno, resulting in injuries to both her and Yuki, and the confiscation of their diaries. While Yuki and her friends are in the hospital, they are approached by Uryu.
