The Thundercats say goodbye to the Third Earth and head towards Thundera, leaving Tygra and Pumyra behind to oversee Cat's Lair and the Tower of Omens. The Thundercats soon arrive and begin plans to build a new hideout. Meanwhile, Mumm-Ra discovers that the planet's gravity is controlled by the Gyroscope beneath the Boiling Rocks, located at the center of the planet. The Gyroscope is guarded by Jaguara, an ancient Thundercat witch. Mumm-Ra disguises himself as Jaga and places Jaguara under a curse, forcing her to change the rotation of the Gyroscope to throw the Thundercats away from the planet. As the Thundercats drift away, Lion-O calls upon the Eye of Thundera for help, which breaks Mumm-Ra's curse... but not before Mumm-Ra takes a part of the Gyroscope's regulator. Without these controls, the planet will be destroyed in 2 hours...
